On Thursday, March 20, we conducted a large-scale firefighting drill at Aerodrom Portorož, in collaboration with the Fire Brigade of Koper and under the organization of the Firefighting Association of Piran. A total of 45 firefighters participated in the drill.
The simulated real-life scenario involved a fire in one of the hangars inside the airport, which quickly spread to the roof of the hangar, where a solar power plant is installed.
With this drill, we tested and strengthened the knowledge of the intervention leader, the coordination of the response, the handling of a large fire at the airport, and overall preparedness for potential emergencies in the future.
We sincerely thank all participants for their help in carrying out the drill.
